Day 2

Artemis

My timid heart beat fast as I watched her
rise, the water slipping from her skin
like divinity, like the sun & moon
& the midnight stars; & i was transformed.
I wear my heart on my sleeve now,
so that every dog might know me.
Truly, I'm not who I was before.
